Weekly Schedule

Want to get a sense of what you can be a part of at Bama Wesley? This is what a typical week looks like for us (and for anything listed here, you can jump right in at any point during the semester). Note that most of these events will start the first full week of classes each semester. For a full calendar, including events not listed here, click here.

And, if all of this seems a little overwhelming, we get it. We’d love to see you at any of our events throughout the week, but if you want just one thing where you can get a taste of everything we have to offer at Wesley, join us for The Rising on Wednesday nights at 8pm.

5:30pm – Prayer and Communion Service

We begin each week with a time of prayer for ourselves, each other, the campus, and the world. During this service we’ll also receive Holy Communion (which you may also know as the Eucharist or the Lord’s Supper), which all are welcome to receive (for more on what we believe about Holy Communion, click here).

6:00pm – Common Meal (Free Dinner!)

Each week, we offer two free meals (Monday dinner and Wednesday lunch). Take a break from dining hall food and come join us!

7:00pm – Foundations Studies (Small Groups)

After dinner on Mondays, join us for Foundations Studies – short-term (3-4 week) small groups on a range of topics. We’ll have a regular rotation of groups throughout the year including more in-depth Bible studies, book studies, and more (ever wondered how Final Fantasy XV can connect to your faith? It can!).

For first-year students, we’ve got a small group just for you! Click here to learn more about Freshley, which meets during our Foundations Studies time.

11:30am – (Free!) Lunch

Take a mid-week break and join us for a free lunch on Wednesdays.

8:00pm – The Rising

The Rising is our weekly worship service, which includes student-led music, teaching from our campus pastor, and class-specific small groups (don’t worry, we’ll help you connect with one no matter when you join us during the semester). And, in case you’re wondering, there’s no dress code – we have students join us both straight from the gym and straight from job interviews. (P.S. to hear some of our past sermons, click here.)

Throughout the Week

Whether it’s an impromptu game of ultimate on the quad, heading to Mary B’s for lunch with a group, or just hanging out at the Wesley building, we’ve got lots more going on throughout the week! The best way to keep up with what’s happening is by joining our GroupMe (just follow that link).
